A hugely popular mobile pizza restaurant has been shortlisted for a prestigious award after swapping a traditional shop for a revamped horse box. Ormskirk's beloved Slice Guys restaurant ceased trading at its Burscough Street premises after three years at the end of May. Originally opening as Two Cents Pizza in the town, the company changed the name to Slice Guys just over a year ago before making the decision to close the Burscough Street premises in May. But owner Nicola Jackson-Jones, who notched up highly commended as Pizza Chef of the year in 2021 is now selling her deliciously decadent wares via a luxury mobile catering service called Two Cents Pizza from a revamped horse box. And to top it off, the talented chef has been shortlisted for the second year running in two categories of the prestigious Pizza Chef of the Year competition. Nicola, a self-taught cook, swapped spreadsheets for pizza making just before the pandemic after 18 years in insurance. source: https://www.lancs.live/whats-on/food-drink-news/pizza-chef-swaps-shop-revamped-24920306
